God Is Growing Something Good!

It is our vision to provide a Christ-centered, nature-based environment to equip children to grow holistically, setting a foundation to fulfill God’s purpose in their lives.

Since our beginning, we’ve had the privilege to provide over 250 children the opportunity to learn and grow in Christ. We invite you to partner with us in this amazing adventure as we share the love of Jesus through homeschool enrichment activities in gardening, outdoor-campfire cooking, art, simple tool use, and life skills, along with ample time for tinkering and play.

What We Do

At Wellspring Children’s Center, learning doesn’t happen inside four walls—it happens in the garden, under the trees, around the fire pit, and through the wonder of play.

We see homeschooling as a calling and a community effort. Wellspring exists to come alongside families, strengthening not only a child’s education but the parent’s heart behind it. From faith-based resources to hands-on learning and mom-to-mom encouragement, we’re here to equip, uplift, and inspire every step of the way.

We provide a safe, faith-filled environment where children are free to explore, imagine, climb, create, and discover at their own pace. Instead of structured lessons, we nurture curiosity and independence through:

Outdoor Exploration – From tending chickens to climbing trees, children connect deeply with the natural world.

Hands-On Creativity – Painting, weaving, cooking, and building invite children to express themselves in meaningful ways.

Community & Play – Shared meals, and open-ended play strengthen friendships and foster cooperation. We have 8 acres of undeveloped land to explore.

Faith & Wonder – Every day, we share the love of Jesus through simple truths and lived experiences, encouraging children to see God’s beauty in creation.

“Children can only learn to take responsibility when given a chance to assess and mitigate risk for themselves.”

How We’ve Grown

Over the years, Wellspring has blossomed into a vibrant community where children, families, and educators come together to celebrate authentic play and meaningful connections. With the support of generous donors, dedicated parents, and passionate teachers, we have built not only physical spaces but also a culture of trust, care and creativity that continues to grow each year.

  • We have provided authentic play to 250 children, since our beginning.
  • $25,000 in scholarships have been provided.
  • Wellspring offers a peaceful atmosphere where children feel genuinely cared for and prioritized.
  • Building community through our monthly family gatherings, annual Thanksgiving, and spring Pancake Breakfast.
  • Support for parents is offered through our annual orientation, the newsletter (with links), our parent library, as well as ongoing casual conversation with teachers.

A happy Wellspring Mama

” The kids get to play in THE BEST WAY! Everything is set up for maximum imagination in a totally stress free environment. They are allowed to get dirty, and always come home with the biggest smiles on their faces.

A Wellspring Visitor

“If I had a magic time machine, that would be really cool. I would go back 70 years and enroll in your wonderful school.”

Colleen A.

“Wellspring provides a loving, nurturing environment for kids to play, be creative, take risks and learn about relationships with other kids. It is really different than other [school] we visited, in a good way!”
